You need to be familiar with the various terms for there are legal aspects to each one. For the IRS can penalize you for paying or withholding taxes for specific employees in these categories. You need to talk to a professional to ensure you know what you are doing in the terms of distributing the correct hiring forms and filing the proper documents with the government. Being ignorant about the status of your employees will hurt your pocketbook in the end.

Staying Relevant is Okay

Make your business stand out and be at the forefront of your industry. How do you accomplish this task? Learn what your competitors are implementing. Discover what new marketing tools are available to your field. Find out if there is a new advancement in your subject making services faster, better, and improved in comparison to the rest. Is there new software to implement making your product better? Go to conferences. Read up on the appropriate trade papers. Aim not to stay relevant but establish yourself, your business as the experts in the industry. If you do so, then you shall have an advantage over rivalry companies.
