Implement “Go Green” Tactics at Work

Some people are very conscience about the environment in the confinements of their own homes.  But what about work?  How do recycling tips translate to the office setting?  Here are a few tips on how you may cut down on being wasteful at work.

Donate Magazines

If you are a doctor’s office or have a waiting room, then it is a good idea to take the old magazines and donate them.  You may donate them to libraries, dentist offices, nail shops and more.  Just remove the address label and drop them off at local businesses in your area that need magazines.  It saves small businesses money on buying further magazines keeping their costs down.

Eliminate Papercups

This sounds so simple and small, but you would be surprised how many companies have not made the transition from paper to regular china.  It would save lots of money on your office expenses, and it helps the environment at the same time.  It is a multi-beneficial task.

Go Paperless

Try to cut back on paperwork.  Share documents via email.  Send paperless bills.  Install fax systems to your computer. Thus, every time you send something via fax you rid the need to print out paper.  Instead, you use your computer to transmit the document.  It preserves paper and printer/fax ink.  It is a great way to contribute to a “go green” office, and saves you money on your bottom line.

Going green at the workplace has many advantages.  Strategize how your office may generate the proper changes to assist in the overall green movement.  It helps cut costs, assists in your cash flow, and allows more money to stay in your bank account and less spent on small business operating costs.
